New Braunfels arts and heritage grant applications are due October 31

New Braunfels is accepting applications for arts and heritage grants, with completed submissions due through the city’s online portal by 5 p.m. October 31, 2026.

The October 1 announcement directs the program to eligible tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. Funding comes from local hotel occupancy tax revenue and is tied to eligible arts, heritage and tourism-related purposes.

Applicants must create an account to access the application system. The city lists a broad range of arts disciplines and heritage activities, but an organization should review the full requirements rather than assume nonprofit status alone guarantees funding.

The city reports that approximately $703,073 from revenue collected in 2025 was allocated to local arts and heritage programs. That historical amount is not a promise of an individual award or the next allocation.

The notice contains an inconsistent reference to the later allocation year, so applicants should confirm the review timetable with the City Secretary’s Office at 830-221-4010. The stated application deadline is October 31, 2026.
